By using TrackScat ("the service") you accept these terms of use. If you do not accept these terms, you should not use the service.

Service description

TrackScat is a service that uses artificial intelligence to identify animal tracks, droppings, and other animal signs from images. The service offers image analysis, history, map view, and calendar view of observations.

AI analysis — disclaimer

AI analyses are intended as guidance and may contain errors. TrackScat cannot guarantee correct identification of species. You should not base important decisions solely on results from this service.

User responsibilities

As a user of the service, you agree to:

• Use the service in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
• Not upload inappropriate or illegal content
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service's systems
• Respect other users' privacy

User accounts

To access certain features, you must create a user account via Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your account information secure. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual property

All content in the service, including text, images, logos, and software, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may not copy, distribute, or use the content without permission.

Limitation of liability

TrackScat is provided "as is" without any form of warranty. We are not liable for damages or losses arising from the use of the service, including but not limited to errors in AI analyses.

Service availability

We strive to keep the service available at all times, but we cannot guarantee continuous and error-free operation. We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently shut down the service without prior notice.

Pricing, subscriptions, and quotas

The service offers both free and paid subscriptions with different features and usage limits. We reserve the right at any time to:

• Change prices for existing and new subscriptions, with reasonable prior notice to active subscribers
• Adjust the number of AI analyses and other usage quotas for all subscription tiers, including free users
• Change which features are included in the different subscription tiers
• Introduce new subscription tiers or discontinue existing ones

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified by publishing on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your user account. We also reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the service without prior notice if you violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be resolved in Norwegian courts.
